How old do I have to be to attend a course?
In general from 18, but younger students may be considered.
How do I know if I am at a Foundation, Intermediate or Advanced level?
Some indication is given on the classes information, however, if you have any doubts we recommend that you send us and email or give us a call and we will be happy to advise you.
Is there accommodation?
We are a non-residential school. However we can supply a list of recommended local hotels and B&B’s.
Do you offer vouchers?
Yes, gift vouchers are available to purchase from our online shop.
When do I need to pay?
We require the full fees on enrolment unless otherwise stated.
What happens if I cannot attend the course?
Please refer to our cancellations policy found in Terms and Conditions.
Will I be able to cope if I have no previous experience?
Yes we do offer a variety of classes suitable for a beginner.
How many people are there in a class with how many teachers?
Usually 6-8 students with 1 teacher.
What do I need to bring with me?
All tools and equipment are provided for shorter courses. For longer courses you may be required to supply some equipment, please refer to specific class information.
Can we drink alcohol whilst in class?
No – it is against the licensing laws.

The academy is in Byfleet, Surrey. Please refer to Contact Us for a map and the full address.
How far in advance should I order my cake?
We work on a basis that we only fulfil a set number of cakes per week, to ensure our high quality of workmanship is kept for each and everyone of our cakes. We recommend booking your cake in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Usually a 3-6 month timescale works well, but we do have cake book in over 12 months in advance. From time to time if our diary is clear we can cater for short notice orders. If you have a date in mind please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can advise you of availability.
Delivery: We offer delivery on all of our cakes as part of our personal service. However, we can only carry out a number of these deliveries at one time due to their nature. Advanced booking is advisable.
Payment: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking and must be cleared prior to any work being carried out. The final balance is payable 4 weeks prior to completion. For orders with less than 4 weeks notice, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Cancellations: For cancellations made with more than 4 weeks notice before the date of delivery the 25% deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations with less than 4 weeks notice before the date of delivery, full payment is required.
How Should I Store my cake?
We recommend storing all of our fondant covered cakes at room temperature. By putting them in a fridge you cake will become condensated and colours and finish wll deteriorate. Cakes are suggested to be enjoyed upto 4 days after delivery.
What does my cake contain?
We bake your cakes fresh for your event and your chosen cake's ingredients can be discussed and customised for your order. Any goods containing nuts or alcohol will have this explicitly listed. Please note that although a product may not contain nuts, all items are made in a kitchen that handles nuts.
Can you deliver across the UK?
We are based in Hampshire, but we can arrange delivery across all of the UK, please email us for a delivery cost.
Can I collect my cake?
We recommend delivery of our cakes on all occassions. Our cakes are structured and therefore need to be handled and transported in a specific manner. Delivery prices are based on your location. Please email for a quotation.
